Shallow water marine operations are very common in maritime, oil and gas and renewable sectors. However, they present several challenges for their successful executions which originates from their specific seabed and environmental conditions. In this presentation, authors present some of these challenges and how they can be mitigated for some specific marine operations. Examples include, cable/pipe Pull in operation at landfall, Cable/pipeline installations, Loadout and Towing of large deck cargo in shallow water river channels. Special attention is also drawn to Float over operations in shallow waters. These challenges are universal in shallow water and not specific to project and geographic locations Accordingly, solutions presented here can be applied to tackle these challenges across the world. Locations or project specific adaptations may be needed.
