Sakarya Project cable transpooling in Norway onboard Seven Oceanic, transportation to Black Sea, shore pull and installation offshore.
Sakarya Gas Field is a large gas reserve, discovered in August 2020 with Tuna-1 exploration well, with a confirmed capacity of 405 BCM, located approximately 170 km offshore Black Sea at 2150 m water depths. Turkish Petroleum Corporation is planning to develop Sakarya Gas Field ensuring the first gas arrival to onshore within 2023, with initial production of 10 MMSCMD, ramping up to 40 MMSCMD. Development Project will involve design, fabrication and installation of the subsea production facilities, infield and transport pipelines, and an Onshore Processing Facility at Filyos. The key technologies listed below will require detailed engineering studies in order to achieve a successful outcome for the Project:
- Drilling over 2000 m below seabed through a combination of stratigraphic and structural traps;
- Long tie-back trajectory to shore for unprocessed hydrocarbon and umbilical in combination with ultra-deep waters;
- Drill center architectures for large reservoir footprint and anticipated #10 production wells;
- Black Sea environment containing high levels of H2S below 150 m WD all along the route and at development field.
- The Project development shall be phased as defined below:
- Phase 1: The onshore and offshore infrastructure necessary to achieve the initial production plateau of 10 MMSCMD from Sakarya field. (or near to that, subject to the Phase 1 gas production pipeline maximum capacity and infield system performance in the actual production conditions.);
- Phase 2: The additional onshore and offshore infrastructure necessary to achieve increase in production capacity by 30 MMSCMD from the field. Phase 1 and Phase 2 combined shall result in the total production capacity for field development of 40 MMSCMD.
